Photoshop- Fashion

This brief was to use designs from our very first 'bloom' module to create a women's  fashion piece.  I struggled to find images that I liked so decided to make my pieces abstract.
This is a rose which I have done an linear design then mirrored.  I think the flashes of colour really add to this piece.
Using the 'pen tool' I placed my design onto the model.  I really like how effective and real life this looks!!
This is a linear leaf I have mirrored; which I have then placed onto a background that was created using brusho.  That I scanned into Photoshop.

This is my favourite deign.  The colours work really well together to give a vibrant outfit!

falling leaves

This is my favourite piece for this collection.  Even though it is a busy piece it is also very suitable for any home.  I think this could be updated for future trends by simple changing the colour scheme.

Acorns! Acorns!

This is one of my complimentary pieces for the woodland silhouette.   I used the brush preset tool to randomly place my motif in a variety of sizes and placed it into a seamless repeat.  I really like how subtle this print is and gives a hints to the longest day trend.

silhouette woodland

Here is my first wallpaper design!  I have used my deer and rabbit motifs from my development and placed them onto photo shop which I have then enhanced them by adding colour! I really like the graphic acorns.  In a recent presentation to wallpaper designer Kate Usher her only criticism was that my rabbit needed eyes!... least I know for next time!!

Drawings

I have been working on more drawings over Easter so I can start developing them when I start back at Uni.

A tonal drawing of a squirrel with an fine liner drawing of an acorn.

Fineliner illustration of a deer.
Colour acetate buttercup.

Underneath is a tonal drawing of the buttercup.

Tonal drawing of a hare, thought this would be a little bit different from the normal rabbit prints that are all over the high street at the moment.
A fine liner drawing of an hedgehog with a watercolour flower.

Acorns which have been coloured with colouring pencils and tonal pencil.
Coloured tonal drawing of a rabbit.

A dandelion fine liner drawing, I think this will make a really simple but effective pattern repeat.

Ladybird coloured with markers.
This is a daisy which the outline is with stick and ink on tracing paper, cut out and layered on top of acrylic petals and markers used on the centre.

The longest day

I decided to choose the theme the 'longest day' as I was researching into each theme this one interested me the most and I found visuals that really interested me.
I have started doing drawings from my research, concentrating on tonal work and analytical drawing.

A tonal drawing of a pinecone.

Analytical drawing of a section of cabbage.

Using stick and ink on colour paper to draw a poppy, with and analytical drawing of a thistle. I used stick and ink to draw the thistle which I then added tonal detail with a pencil.

Fineliner drawing of a helicopter seed

My favourite drawing so far. Tonal drawing of a rabbit.

Fineliner drawing of leaves.
Stick of ink drawing of deer with leaves.

Pro markers colouring pencil and fineliner drawing of wheat.

Pro marker and water colour flowers.
More illustrated but this is a style of drawing I really enjoy doing! A deer with a leaf.

New project!!

We have been set our first work based project, with wallpaper designer Kate Usher.
We have been set the task to design a collection of wallpapers (at least three) which are suitable for a child's room but also keeping the design a classic which can be for all ages and unisex.
Kate gave us four children's interior trends for autumn and winter 2013 to base our designs on pioneer, longest day, super geek and sea storm.
Exciting project!!!
